Pack Crackin': Modern Horizons

Magic Untapped cracks open some Modern Horizons booster packs.

A few years ago, Wizards of the Coast released the first-ever Magic: The Gathering set designed to go directly into the game's Modern format (circumventing first being part of Standard).  That set was Modern Horizons and it was considered to be an overall successful release.

As might be expected, Modern Horizons has a number of cards that are worth a pretty penny.  Just looking at the cards worth more than $25 apiece, you'll find the planeswalker Wrenn & Six clocking in at just over $100, counterspell Force of Negation at roughly $66.50, Urza, Lord High Artificer at around $45, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician at approximately $37, Seasoned Pyromancer at $30, and Force of Vigor at slightly more than $26.

Safe to say, there is value to be had here.

Magic Untapped picked up four Modern Horizons booster packs from Competitive Card Shack in Sacramento, California, for $12.99 apiece.  We'll round that up to $52 in total.

Watch the video below to see how fortunate (or unfortunate) our pulls were.
