WotC celebrates 50 years of D&D with special Magic: The Gathering draft event

Wizards of the Coast is celebrating Dungeons & Dragons' 50th anniversary with a special Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate Magic: The Gathering draft event.

In the event, which is scheduled to run from May 17-19 at Wizards Play Network stores, players will be given three Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate Draft Boosters and one Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate Collector Booster.  The Collector Booster will be opened and kept by the player for use in whatever deck they draft.  The three Draft Boosters are then drafted as they would be normally, though picking two cards at a time rather than the usual one.

Players will then construct a minimum 60-card deck and play in pods of four.

The event will also feature a new dungeon into which they can venture.  This can be done both through the usual means (using a card ability that allows for such an action) as well as the first time they cast their commander during the game.
