Magic Spellslingers, a Magic: The Gathering action card battler computer game, has drawn its last card.

The online game game, which launched on Aug. 4, 2022, lasted a little less than two years and is now being sunset as all in-game cash purchases were turned off on March 6.

On the game's official website, the Spellslingers Team provided players with a final message and one last surprise before the game is shuttered for good on June 4.

"It is with both gratitude and sorrow that we are announcing the sunset of Magic Spellslingers," they state.  "This has been an amazing journey for all of us; we thank you all for playing and enjoying our game."

As a going away gift, Magic Spellslingers players who first played before March 6, 2024, are being given 1,500 gems in Magic: The Gathering - Arena.  The gems will be available to Arena players any time after March 29.
