Wizards of the Coast is jumping the release of Jumpstart back a couple of weeks.

The set, which was supposed to come out on July 3, is now releasing on July 17.  The company says the postponement is "because of continued manufacturing delays due to COVID-19."

Furthermore, the Magic: The Gathering Arena release of Jumpstart will now occur on on July 16. As for Magic Online, Jumpstart cards will begin to appear as of June 25, though only through Treasure Chests.

"The delay of Jumpstart is certainly unfortunate, and we look forward to a return to normalcy once we can ensure the continued health and safety of those who help make our game possible," says the company via its official announcement.

WotC says that despite Jumpstart's postponement, the release of Core Set 2021 is still on track to release on time.  Magic players can expect that set to release on June 25 as planned on digital and July 3 in paper, with real-world prerelease tournaments taking place the weekend of June 26.
