WotC Provides Update on Foundations Printing, Confirms No More Bundles or Collector Boosters

No more Bundles or Collectors Boosters are being printed for MTG Foundations, according to Wizards of the Coast, but more Foundations is on the way.

"More Magic: The Gathering Foundations is coming to the market soon," says Wizards of the Coast WPN Community Manager Nelson Brown.  "We expect more availability of Play Boosters and Beginner Boxes in Q2, and more Starter Collections later in the year."

The company confirms that more Starter Collections are also being reprinted.  Printing more Collector Boosters and Bundles, however, aren't in the plans despite the set planned to be around for five years.

"As a collector-oriented product Collector Boosters are a single-print-run by design," Nelson explains.  "That said, Play Boosters (which contain mechanically equivalent versions of the FDN main set cards found in Collector Boosters) are eligible for reprint and are planned to be reprinted and made available generally for the set's time in Standard."

Released in November of 2024, MTG Foundations is considered to be the core of Magic's Standard format and a way for new players to get into the game.  The set is assumed to be in production and Standard-legal through 2029.
