Let's crack open some booster packs of The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth: Holiday Edition!
This special version of Magic: The Gathering’s The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth set came out on Nov. 3 of this year and features a couple new card variant types, such as the Scroll variant, which has the top cards (value wise) as:
- The One Ring at $84.40;
- Orcish Bowmasters at $45.41, and;
- The seven different Nazgul cards, each listing between $10.66-$15.71 apiece.
There are also difficult-to-read, yet beautiful 1960-style poster art versions, such as
- The One Ring on the high end, value-wise, and;
- Hew the Entwood on the low end.
As well as the very rare chance to pull a serialized card, such as the serialized poster variant of Gandalf the White, which is being seen valued at around $2,000 or so.
There are also traditional and surge foils that can be found, as well as borderless versions of cards.
This trio of packs was purchased from Heroes & Fantasies in San Antonio, Texas, for $35.00 apiece. That’s $105 in total before tax.
Watch the video below to see how fortunate (or unfortunate) our pulls were.
And Happy Holidays from all of us at Magic Untapped!
