Let's crack open an epilogue booster box of March of the Machine: The Aftermath.
Aftermath isn’t exactly a normal Magic: The Gathering set as, for one, each pack only contains five cards. Also, the set itself is extremely small at only 50 cards (none of which are commons, by the way). Of course, that doesn’t count the many various different versions of the set’s cards, including showcase, extended art, and so on.
The set, which is more-or-less the Magic: The Gathering version of a post-credits scene you might see in a Marvel movie, was anything but well received. In fact, Wizards of the Coast’s Mark Rosewater was candid to say that market research shows that the set is one of the worst-received they’ve ever put out.
Regardless, there are a number of cards worth $10 or more that can be found within the set*. And that includes:
- The extended art version of Nissa, Resurgent Animist at $22.08;
- The retro frame version of Nissa at $18.29;
- The showcase version of Calix, Guided by Fate at $18.19;
- The normal version of Nissa at $17.62, and;
- The normal version of Calix, Guided by Fate at $15.78.
This Epilogue Booster Box of March of the Machine: The Aftermath was purchased on a Cyber Monday deal from Miniature Market out of Saint Louis, Missouri, for $35 before tax and shipping.
