Magic Untapped cracks open some Mystery Booster - Convention Edition booster packs.
The Magic 30 convention just happened roughly a month ago in Las Vegas where Wizards of the Coast had the difficult-to-find Mystery Booster: Convention Edition for sale (and for a very affordable price, we might add).
The 1800-plus card, all-reprint set (aside, of course, from the “playtest cards”) was extremely well received. Despite the extremely large card pool, however, it only features a half-dozen cards that are currently worth $20 or more apiece.
Those are:
- Mana Crypt, a mythic rare at $170.81;
- Common Rhystic Study at $38.21;
- Uncommon Demonic Tutor at $34.43;
- Rare Recruiter of the Guard at $25.64;
- Mythic rare Purphoros, God of the Forge at $24.61, and;
- Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, a mythic rare that lists at $23.36.
Magic Untapped picked up six booster packs of Mystery Booster: Convention Edition, which was the max allowed in a single purchase from the Magic 30 merch store. They only cost $6 apiece, which means we only dropped $36 total on them.
