Wizards Play Network (WPN) stores expecting their full assortment of promotional cards for Edge of Eternities won't be receiving them as expected.
According to Wizards of the Coast, this is due to an error related to the supply chain and shipping.
"Due to a logistical error, WPN member stores in North America and EMEA regions will receive only half of their Commander and Standard Showdown promos in their initial Edge of Eternities marketing kit," says the company in a statement to retailers.
The EOE marketing kit is scheduled to arrive at WPN retailers on Friday, July 18.
To remedy the issue, WotC has plans to send out a second wave of Edge of Eternities promotional cards.
"A second shipment with the remaining promos is expected to arrive in North American stores between August 1–8, with deliveries to EMEA stores following later in August," says the company. "The initial shipment of promos in the marketing kit should be sufficient to support early events until the second shipment arrives."
The company continues, stating they "recognize how important these materials are and appreciate your patience and understanding as our team works to deliver the remaining items as quickly as possible."
WotC says that this logistical issue only affects WPN stores in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
