Let's crack open a The Brothers' War bundle and see what's inside!
The Brothers’ War came out in November of 2022 consists of 287 cards, not including variants. The set also has thrown in here and there a number of cards featuring characters from the Transformers cartoon (The Transformers toy line and related media are all Hasbro, by the way), as well as retro framed artifacts that can be found in each pack.
As for the base set, there is one card – the extended art variant of Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor – currently listing* above the $30 mark ($33.80, to be exact), but there are also a handful of cards to look out for that are worth above the $20 mark, including:
- The extended art variant of Portal to Phyrexia at $28.17;
- The standard version of Portal to Phyrexia at $22.69 and;
- The standard version of Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor at $21.80.
As for Transformers cards, unless you find one of the ultra-rare Shattered Glass variants, you’re lucky to find a card worth much with only a pair being listed at more than two bucks:
- Slicer, Hired Muscle at $2.75 and;
- Optimus Prime, Hero at $2.64.
Thankfully, things are a bit better once you look at the value of the retro frame artifact cards with a handful worth in the double-digits, including:
- The schematic variant of Mox Amber at $28.54;
- The standard version of Mox Amber at $26.90, and;
- The schematic version of Wurmcoil Engine at $13.02.
This bundle was purchased from Game Empire in San Diego, California, for right around $60.00.
