In 2010, Magic: The Gathering Core Set 2011 came out to, well, about the amount of applause as you might expect for a core set.
Of course, that's not to say that there isn't anything worth talking about in the set.
Core Set 2011 boasts 249 cards, of which 68 are either rare or mythic in rarity. The set also has a bunch of reprints, as was typical of a Core Set.
In terms of value, Core Set 2011 only has seven cards that are worth more than ten dollars according to MTGStocks.com. Topping that list is Serra Ascendant, which lists at (at time of writing) at about $24, followed by Captivating Vampire ($14.50), Birds of Paradise ($14), Grave Titan ($12.75), Fauna Shaman ($12.50), Liliana Vess ($10.50), and Platinum Angel ($10.25). There are also a dozen or so cards worth between $5-$10, including (for example) Leyline of the Void ($8) and Liliana's Caress, an uncommon that lists at roughly $5.50.
Magic Untapped picked up these Core Set 2011 booster packs from Darkside Games in Las Vegas, Nevada, for $6 apiece.
