As Wizards of the Coast takes over Magic: The Gathering's Commander format, the company appoints a new panel of format advisors.
Inspired by the Pauper Format Panel that advises on the game's Pauper format, the Commander Format Panel is a group of individuals whom work together to monitor the health of the Commander format, suggest changes, and discuss items of importance such as ban updates.
"I feel like it's worked out well, and it's the base that we wanted to model Commander's community group after," says WotC's Gavin Verhey.
In short, the Panel's mission is to work with MTG's design teams and other teams at WotC. They'll provide feedback and assist in crafting the Commander experience.
They'll see what we're working on and get the chance to impact it, and they'll share with us what they're seeing that we should take a closer look at," comments Verhey.
At current, the members of the 17-member Panel consists of:
Attack on Cardboard – @AttackOnCards
Bandit – @BanditMTG1
Benjamin Wheeler – @BWheelerMTG
Charlotte Sable – @Jaqalyte
