Let's crack open a pair of Portal: Second Age booster packs and see what's inside!
Released in June of 1998, Portal: Second Age is Wizards of the Coast’s second go at a introductory-level Magic: The Gathering set and, while the cards in the set, overall, aren’t exactly of the highest power level, there are some cards that are worth a few bucks.
As of script writing, the cream-of-the-crop* are:
- Norwood Priestess at $76.80;
- Razorclaw Bear at $54.80;
- Righteous Fury at $44.03;
- Temporal Manipulation at $35.59;
- Piracy at $26.77, and;
- Sleight of Hand, a common, at $16.17.
These booster packs were purchased at Mox Boarding House in Seattle, Washington, for $48 each. That’s $96 for the pair (before tax, of course).
Now, let’s crack these packs and see how things go.
And, for value purposes, we are only counting cards worth at least a buck.
